Brisbane Broadway Chapel Wedding
In the morning I caught up with Bree for her preparation photos at the Pullman Hotel in King George Square, Brisbane. Right in the heart of Brisbane city. We even ventured up to the top level for some photos with the Bree & her bridesmaids once they were ready. It felt like we were up in the clouds but still surrounded by skyscrapers. During both bride and groom preparations and throughout the day my focus is to document the story. I also combine the story telling imagery with beautiful & creative portraits during preparations.
Bree & Tim’s wedding ceremony was held at the heritage listed Broadway Chapel in Woolloongabba, Brisbane. The chapel is a popular choice for wedding ceremonies as they offer an option to broadcast and record couples wedding ceremonies live. This comes in handy when you have family and friends overseas that are unable to attend your special day. As a broadway chapel wedding photographer there is also lots of great image options throughout the ceremony and outside around the paved courtyard and fountain. Bree & Tim had a beautiful heart-felt ceremony with a few funny moments in-between. There were lots of hugs and kissed from family & friends as they congratulated the newly weds outside the chapel. The congratulations from family and friends is an important part and often overlooked part of a wedding day. I make it a priority that couples are able to spend some time with their wedding guests without having to move to location photos too quickly. There’s also a lot of fast paced emotions that fly about some of my favourite wedding moments to photograph.
Later in the afternoon we ventured to Brisbane’s Kangaroo Point Cliffs for their location wedding photos with the newly weds and their bridal party. Brisbane broadway chapel is conveniently located just a short drive from the Kangaroo Point cliffs. The cliffs showcase a stunning view of the Brisbane city surrounded by the river. If you’re looking for that city feel then it really is one of the best locations for wedding photography Brisbane has to offer.
During this time I have more of a candid wedding photography approach to taking images. It’s that candid feel that I like to capture and I find that couples really connect with and love the most. My style also takes on a classical and timeless approach. The ultimate goal is to capture images that not only will look amazing today but also in 50 years time. I aspire to capture couples wedding days in such a way that when they look back on their images it takes them right back to the moment to experience all those feelings and emotions again.
